Device Profiles

Making MIDI control as easy as possible, Device Profiles contains data that lets Mortrix users simply select a device function to control and set the desired value or effect. There is no need to read MIDI charts in manuals or worry about CC parameters, values, etc.

To use a Device Profile, simply press the Add Message button and select “Device Function”.

This will open a view that lets you browse profiles by manufacturer and model.

Selecting a specific device will open the list of device functions available for this device.

Tap a device function to insert that function into your Preset.

This will add the device function as a new entry in the Message list and can now be edited.

Some device profile messages support editable parameters. When expanded in the message list, these show an option to change the underlying CC parameter, allowing you to adapt the function to variations in device firmware or custom MIDI mappings.

Some Device Profiles will also contain Device Surfaces, which can be inserted like any other function.
