* Note about USB Ports#
The USB Ports on Mortrix are Host ports, which are intended for connecting to USB devices, such as MIDI controllers, keyboards and Flash drives.
The ports support Class Compliant USB MIDI devices and FAT formatted storage devices.
They cannot connect directly to another host such as a PC or Mac computer.
Power requirements#
MORTRIX can be powered with 9-24V DC and works with both center-negative and center-positive power supplies.
MORTRIX requires 1000mA at 9 Volt to run. This is equivalent to 9 Watt.
Connecting USB devices that are not self-powered will increase the power consumption. Each USB port can supply up to 500mA to the USB device.
Thus the maximum power requirements in various supply and load configurations are listed below:
| Adapter Voltage vs. rated Power and Current | 9V | 12V | 24V | Power |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MORTRIX unit | 1000mA | 750mA | 375mA | 9W |
| MORTRIX unit + 1 USB device | 1280mA | 960mA | 480mA | 11.5W |
| MORTRIX unit + 2 USB devices | 1560mA | 1170mA | 590mA | 14W |
