Messages

MORTRIX supports a number of different MIDI Messages including:

  • CC
  • PC
  • Note On/Off
  • NRPN
  • Aftertouch
  • Poly (Channel) Aftertouch
  • Pitch Bend
  • CC Pair
  • SysEx

But often the MIDI control you are looking for might be more easily available in a Device Profile, saving you from having to look up controller values etc. Simply choose the Device Function option, select the device and the function you wish to control and adjust the value.

Aside from MIDI Messages there are also a number of Utility Messages available:

  • Set BPM: Sets a specific MIDI clock tempo.
  • Open BPM Controls: Open an overlay interface for precice BPM control.
  • MIDI Clock (Start/Stop): Starts and Stops the internal MIDI clock, and sends MIDI Transport messages (if configured in Global Settings)
  • Step: Steps a manually triggered sequencer on step forward.
  • Flip To Page: Flips to the selected page in the current Scene.
  • Open Live Editor: Works in conjunction with Messages with Live Mode enabled and enables an Overlay Inteface for manual control of MIDI values.

You can also insert Macros or use the Learn function to record MIDI Messages from MIDI In and resend them when triggering the Message.
