Safety and Usage#

Mortrix is an advanced electronic product and must be operated and handled appropriately and safely.

The following tips are for your own safety and to protect the function and usefulness of MORTRIX.

  • Avoid Liquid Exposure: MORTRIX is not waterproof and exposure to liquids should be prevented.
  • Temperature: the recommended operating temperature of MORTRIX is 5-45 degrees celsius.
  • Power: Use a quality, non damaged, power supply capable of delivering between 9 and 24 Volt DC and 1000mA or more to power MORTRIX. MORTRIX works with both center-negative and center-positive power supplies. If multiple USB powered devices are added to the USB host ports the required current increases accordingly.
  • Connections: Only connect equipment using the appropriate and intended ports, cables and connections.
  • Do Not Eat: There is no nutritional value in Mortrix, and the high concentration of MIDIs is not good for your intestinal flora.

Wireless and Regulatory Information#

MORTRIX contains a wireless module supporting Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz) and Bluetooth communication. The radio hardware has been tested and certified in accordance with applicable regional standards and regulations.

Radio Frequency Interference#

Radio waves emitted by this product may affect the operation of other electronic equipment. Observe the following precautions:

  • Do not use MORTRIX in the vicinity of medical facilities or near individuals with a heart pacemaker or implanted defibrillator. Radio frequency emissions may adversely affect such devices.
  • Do not use MORTRIX inside aircraft unless explicitly permitted by the aircraft operator.
  • In environments where radio frequency interference is a concern (hospitals, laboratories, etc.), disable wireless functionality or follow the instructions of the responsible authority.

Simultaneous Use With Other Wireless Devices#

MORTRIX operates in the 2.4 GHz frequency band, which is shared by other devices such as Bluetooth peripherals, Wi-Fi routers, and microwave ovens. Interference from nearby devices may cause degraded wireless performance. If interference occurs:

  • Increase the physical distance between MORTRIX and the interfering device.
  • Switch to the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band where supported.
  • Reorient or relocate the devices.

Usage Restrictions#

  • Wireless communication with all Bluetooth- and Wi-Fi-compatible devices is not guaranteed.
  • Security functions conforming to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi standards are supported; however, sufficient security cannot be guaranteed depending on the operating environment and configuration. Exercise caution when using wireless communication.
  • Comply with all applicable local laws and regulations governing the use of radio frequency equipment.

Regional Compliance#

The wireless module used in MORTRIX carries regulatory certifications including CE (EU), FCC (US), and others. Modifying the antenna, enclosure, or radio configuration in any way may void these certifications and may be illegal.
